Two time Formula 1 world champion Fernando Alonso has become a father and will skip all scheduled media activities to spend time with his family.
His team confirmed full support for the decision, emphasizing the importance of the moment in Alonso’s personal life. He will also sit out the first free practice session at Suzuka Circuit. Ih his place young American driver Jak Crawford will take part in FP1, fulfilling Formula 1 requirements for rookie driver sessions.
Alonso is expected to show up later during the weekend.
